Lin Tempest - Artist
Lin paints mainly in watercolour and acrylic and her style continues to evolve but is influenced predominantly by the amazing Central Otago scenery.
In autumn Lin captures the spectacular Otago autumn colours and has many wonderful places to set up her easel and get inspired. The Central Otago hills and mountains have been shaped by glacial smoothing over thousands of years, with harder areas standing proud, but still smooth. When the sun is low in the winter, or early evening, these are picked out by the descending shadow and are quite spectacular.
Lin’s other passion and style is abstract, in which she incorporates many vibrant colours and bold paint strokes.
Lin is inspired by other artists around the area and has enjoyed entering her work in various exhibitions in Central Otago. The artwork can be seen throughout Tempest on Wanaka.
